Romania Energy: Open call for projects on renewable energy and energy efficiency

The Energy Programme in Romania launches its final call for project proposals! Who can participate? 

For the matchmaking on Romania ENergy, participants are entities from Romania and Norway working in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. 

  • Participants from Romania can meet with partners in Norway.  
  • Participants from Norway can meet with partners in Romania.  

The Norway Grants aims to reduce social and economic differences in Europe and to strengthen cooperation with Norway.  

Upcoming Funding opportunities 

Innovation Norway is the Operator of five EEA and Norway Grants programmes: the Energy Programme in Romania and four programmes on Business Development, Innovation and SMEs in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Greece.  

These five programmes each launch a call on “soft measures” in March/April 2022. The calls finance projects on awareness-raising, training and mentorship within the focus area of each programme: energy in Romania or business innovation in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Greece. 

The projects are funded through open calls for proposals. Eligible applicants for the open calls are legal entities in the country where the call is launched (Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia or Greece). Eligible partners in all the calls are legal entities in Norway. 

In April, additional calls will be launched:  

  • Business Innovation in Romania: (link will be added) 
  • Business Innovation in Bulgaria: (link will be added) 
  • Business Innovation in Croatia: (link will be added) 
  • Business Innovation in Greece: (link will be added) 

The calls are published here as soon as they are available. The matchmaking will therefore be open from 30 March and remain open all of April. Participants are encouraged to register with profiles in B2Match and book meetings as early as possible. However, registration and the opportunity to book meetings will be open all of April until 30 April. 

Webinars on the open calls for Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Greece 

Each programme will invite you to a separate webinar on each of the open calls. The webinars will target entities in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Greece who are interested in applying for the open calls. The webinars will present the open call, outline how to apply and answer questions.  

Entities in Norway are eligible partners in all of these open calls. Norwegian participants can join the matchmaking to find partners in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia or Greece.

By making a profile in this platform, you will find a list of partners who are willing, able and ready to cooperate in projects. Signing up with a profile will: 

  • Allow you to book short B2B meetings before, during or after the event, and make a network  
  • Give you visibility so that other participants can contact you with ideas for cooperation  
  • Give you an overview of participants so that you can contact them with ideas for cooperation

  • Participants from Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia are Greece can meet with potential partners in Iceland or Norway.  
  • Participants from Iceland and Norway can meet with potential partners in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia are Greece.  

The EEA and Norway Grants are funded by Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein (the Donor States). The Grants aim to reduce social and economic differences in Europe and to strengthen cooperation with the Donor States. This matchmaking aims to connect partners for cooperation.
